I was inspired by this awesome lady named Mrs. Gerdline Dawkins who came down from ( Chicago Il) to live in her home town of Mount Hermon, La. My mother Mrs. Nellie K. Coleman had sent us to this church called Stateline CIGIC ( Superintendent Elder Jefferson). Her wonderful parents Missionary Bernice & John Martin. She took the time out to encourage us and took us places. That we were of value. I always tell my story how beautiful she was towards the youths. I graduated from high school with the American Legion Award and went to the Art Institute of Houston. When I found out her passing away . I came down to her home going. Until this day her sister Mrs. Mildred Strickland has that same passion for the youths. Together we are making a difference. Executive Director Mrs. Bernice Horton.
